Hidilyn Diaz has returned to Malaysia to train for an upcoming weightlifting competition.
On her Instagram page, the Olympic gold medalist shared snapshots of herself in her training gym in Malaysia.
"Back to Basic. Back to #Weightlifting. Back to Malaysia. Back to Garage Gym. Back to Diet," she wrote.
Hidilyn will be training for the 2021 World Weightlifting Championships, which will be held from December 7 to 17 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
Prior to her training in Malaysia, Hidilyn was in the Philippines attending various events, pictorials, and brand shoots following her big win at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
She also marked a new milestone in her romantic life as she got engaged to her coach and boyfriend Julius Naranjo.
"It's YES! It was a magical moment with @imjulius. I'm grateful to God that He sent Julius into my life, he make my life easy , alam ng iba kung ano mga sinasakripisyo niya para maabot namin ang pangarap na Ginto sa Olympics together with #TeamHD," she posted on her Instagram page following her engagement.
Hidilyn became the first Filipino to win a gold medal at the Olympics after winning the women's 55kg weightlifting competition at Tokyo 2020.
