Rachel Alejandro on making a comeback to singing and acting this year: ‘It’s a proud day for me’

After signing up with the <a href='https://ent.abs-cbn.com/starmagic' target='_blank'>Star Magic</a> family, Rachel Alejandro shared how she finally became a true blue kapamilya this year after more than two decades in showbiz.“Matagal ko ng pangarap. I think talaga everything parang fell into place eh. It’s weird nga how our lives can change in just a blink of an eye. Kasi about a year ago or a little over a year ago, nakaupo ako sa couch naming mag-asawa sa New York and of course ito yung kasagsagan ng pandemya and honestly I was looking into my future and parang hindi ko talaga makita. Parang relevant pa ba ako? Kakanta pa ba ako? Parang ang layo layo na nung possibility na magkaka-concert pa ulit or mahgkaka-album pa ulit.“But you know, naging masuwerte naman and parang one thing happened after another. Una nagkaroon ng offer to do this teleserye, my very first one under ABS-CBN. Pangalawa, nakausap din ng manager ko of more than a quarter of a century, si tita Girlie Rodis si Lauren Dyogi ng Star MAgic and nagkataon din naman dahil si tita Girlie is in the US and she plans to be there for a while, naisip niya na ipaalaga muna ako sa Star Magic. So kinausap niya si direk Lauren and sabi naman ni direk Lauren, ‘We’ve always naman loved Rachel. Maganda yung role ko dito. Ang ganda nung arc ng storya niya. Yung mga nakapanuod ng The World of the Married alam niyo na siguro kung bakit ako blondie, kasi kasama yung buhok na yan sa storya (laughs). Yan ang pinagkakaabalahan ko ngayon. I’m going to be here probably at least by the middle of December.
