Kim Seon-ho will still headline the upcoming movie Sad Tropics.
According to a report by Naver as translated by Soompi, the production company NEW confirmed that the South Korean actor will still star in the film.
“After much deliberation, the producers of Sad Tropics have decided to film the movie this year with actor Kim Seon-ho," the production company said in a statement.
Seon-ho has been embroiled in controversy recently after his ex-girlfriend posted allegations about the actor online.
Seon-ho was removed from two movies Dog Days and 2 O'Clock Date following the controversy. Meanwhile, the production team of Sad Tropics was still deliberating their course of action by then after the controversy broke out.
On October 26 and November 1, Dispatch released articles sharing the reported conversations that transpired between Seon-ho and his ex-girlfriend.
Sad Tropics is set to start filming this coming December.

Seon-ho will portray the role of an aspiring boxer who has a Korean father and a Filipino mother. His character tries to find his dad in Korea who abandoned him.
The movie will be directed by Park Hoon Jung.
