Before he became known as a well-loved kapamilya host and personality, it’s almost hard to imagine that Robi Domingo first entered showbiz 13 years ago as a housemate in the second season of Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus. Back then, he was introduced as "The True Blue Atenean of Quezon City" who sacrificed attending his high school graduation for the chance to experience being part of the country’s now longest running reality series.
Back then, Robi’s shared that his favorite subjects in school were Religion and Social Studies, as well as having interests in sports like baseball and track and field. In his latest Thursday throwback post last November 18, Robi further proved that he really is a good boy by revealing he once served as a sacristan in church. On his Instagram account, he wrote, “Team good boy. 😇 When I was in High School, I used to attend daily Masses before the beginning of classes. Eventually, I became a sacristan. 🙏🏼”
With the next presidential elections happening next year, Robi has been one of the more vocal celebrities using their platform to encourage more youths to register and use their power to vote.
He said, “What I want to point out is two things, number one is what we’re experiencing right now is really the effects of climate change. So, in the long run, marami pang mangyayaring ganito if we don’t stop our ways, if we don’t change our lifestyle, if we don’t have environmental policies. So kailangan magbago na yun. Yung nangyari dati sa Ondoy parang part two ito eh. Mangyayari lang ulit yan kapag hindi tayo nagbago. So, we have to do something about our environment right now and another thing is you better register to vote. Lalong lalo na sa mga kabataan. You have to do that. You have voting power. You have your choice.”
