Adele released her highly anticipated new album 30 on Friday, November 19.
The album contains 12 songs including "Easy On Me" which landed on top of the Billboard Hot 100. Other tracks include "My Little Love," "Cry Your Heart Out," "Hold On," "I Drink Wine," and "Can I Get It," among others. The record reflects the journey of the singer following her divorce from Simon Konecki.
Prior to the release of 30, Adele taped a television special with CBS titled Adele One Night Only. The singer performed some of the tracks from her new album and had a sit-down interview with Oprah Winfrey in the TV special.
In her interview with Oprah, Adele shared the experience writing the new songs for 30.
"There were moments when I was writing the record or I would listen back to something and be like, 'That might be a bit too private, that might be a bit too about myself to put out.' But nothing is as scary as what I've been through over the last two, three years behind closed doors. So I'm not frightened about what people may or might not know," she said in the interview.
30 is Adele's fourth studio album following the critically and commercially acclaimed record 25.
It was in October when Adele announced the released of 30.
"I've learned a lot of blistering home truths about myself along the way. I've shed many layers but also wrapped myself in new ones. Discovered genuinely useful and wholesome mentalities to lead with, and I feel like I've finally found my feeling again. I'd go as far as to say that I've never felt more peaceful in my life. And so, I'm ready to finally put this album out," she said in her announcement post back in October.
