Lauren Dyogi warns public about ‘PBB’ scammer

ABS-CBN Head of TV Production Lauren Dyogi took to social media to warn the public about a scammer who is impersonating him.

In a Twitter post, Lauren shared a screenshot of an e-mail to an aspiring housemate for the adult season of PBB Kumunity Season 10.

“Walang pinadadalang ganung email ang ‘PBB’ o si Direk Lauren Dyogi,” he wrote in his tweet.

Lauren went on to say that those who continue to proliferate such illegal actions will face consequences. 

“Nananawagan ang ‘PBB’ sa publiko na maging maingat. Pinapaalalahan rin ang mga nasa likod ng scam na ito na may katumbas na parusa ang kanilang iligal na paggamit sa pangalan ng ‘PBB’ at mga bumubuo nito.”  

Meanwhile, Lauren shared the statement of the show on Twitter, saying he still can’t get over the “ridiculous scam letter.” 

“Yes I am a Letran Knight but I will never introduce myself as Sir Lauren in an email to anyone!” he said, referring to his stint as a teacher at a school in Manila.

“We caution the public against individuals claiming to be from Pinoy Big Brother and sending emails regarding the extension of the auditions for PBB Kumunity Season 10 Adult Edition,” the statement read.

“There is no such email from PBB or Direk Lauren Dyogi. Moreover, the program would never solicit money from auditionees,” the statement added.

“We ask the public to be careful and vigilant, and remind those behind this scam that the unauthorized use of the name of “PBB” or those who are part of the show is punishable under the law,” the statement continued.
