After almost two decades in showbiz, actor Jake Cuenca is not new to being the subject of issues online. So, in his new series Viral Scandal, the Kapamilya star said he can understand where lead actress Charlie Dizon’s character is coming from after becoming a victim to an online video.

So nami-misinterpret. Siguro para sa akin yun yung naalala ko na most recent time,” he said.

In early October Jake made headlines after being involved in a car chase with the police who were in the middle of a buy-bust operation and shot at the actor’s vehicle after he allegedly bumped into their vehicle in Mandaluyong City. During the mediacon for Viral Scandal, Jake admitted doing the last cycle of lock-in taping for the series in the same month his encounter with the police happened was especially hard for him.

“Madaming challenges. I had to do what an actor does and to put your problems aside, you’re responsible for hundreds of people on the set. Umaasa sila eh, kasi di ba if I don’t make it to work then ang daming taong hindi makakapagtrabaho at makakapagpakain sa pamilya nila. I just put my problems aside and focus on work and remind myself na ilang buwan ko pinaghandaan itong role na ‘to. I did not want to just throw that away,” he said.

The 33-year-old actor also shared his realizations after portraying the role of mayor Troy Ramones in his latest series.

For me meron pa rin akong oportunidad to do my family proud, to do my co-workers proud and to do my loved ones proud. So at least with that yun yung nakakapagpa-motivate sa akin to do my best every time,” he explained.
