Shanaia Gomez is the latest celebrity who will be joining Pinoy Big Brother: Kumunity Season 10.

Dubbed as "Ang Rising Darling ng Quezon City," Shanaia is a singer signed under Rise Artists Studio.

She successfully passed the Kumu challenge on Saturday, October 9, which was part of the audition process, making her an official housemate for the celebrity edition.

Asked by host Robi Domingo during the Kumu live on her expectations as she will be entering the Big Brother house soon, she replied, "I think the best thing to do [is to] go in with no expectations and go with the flow. And to be on my best behavior and don't disappoint kuya."

On her goal as a housemate, she remarked, "I am going to do my best and I want to inspire people and spread good vibes and show the Philippines who I am."

Shanaia is from Canada and her mom owns a performing arts school there which inspired her to become a performer herself.

She first arrived in the Philippines in 2016 and tried out her luck as a television commercial model. In 2017, she returned to the Philippines and tried to pursue acting but her Tagalog language skills became a challenge for her.

She joined Idol Philippines in 2019 and made it to the mid-rounds

Other confirmed celebrity housemates include Alyssa Valdez, Madam Inutz, KD Estrada, TJ Valderrama, Anji Salvacion, and Samantha Bernardo.
