Empress Schuck and her husband Vino Guingona celebrated the sixth birthday of their daughter Athalia.
Amid the ongoing pandemic, the couple managed to throw a birthday bash for their daughter in Zamboanga City.
On Instagram, Empress shared a few photos from the party, which was attended only by their close friends and family.
"Happy 6th birthday our baby girl @bonitaathalia! Parang kaka-birthday mo lang last year!" wrote the actress.
Athalia's birthday last year was extra special as it was during the celebration that Empress and her now-husband got engaged.
"And so this day has become even more special. It's not just Athalia’s birthday anymore but also a new celebration of God’s intention. Thank you @vinoguingona for doing it on her birthday and in this special home witnessed by my whole family. Wouldn’t have it any other way. Thank you to my siblings for helping Vino arrange this, to my parents’ blessing," Empress wrote at the time.
The couple went on to tie the knot at the Hillcreek Gardens in Tagaytay in March.
Empress first confirmed her pregnancy in April 2015. At the time, the actress was already three months pregnant and had been with her then boyfriend Vino for over a year.
She later gave birth to a healthy baby girl in September that same year.
In an interview on Tonight With Boy Abunda, Empress shared how her life changed since becoming a mom to Athalia.
"Malaki iyong pagbabago sa personality ko. Sa pag-iisip ko sa mundo, ganoon siya ka-deep," she said.
"Akala ko dati matured na ako, pero hindi immature pala ako noon. Ito pala 'yung ibig sabihin ng mature, maturity. And I really became more positive and malaki talaga 'yung pagbabago sa buhay kapag naging mother ka na. Ito 'yung isang experience and explanation na hindi ko po kayang i-explain," she added.
Empress, 28, is set to star in her first ABS-CBN teleserye in two years, The Broken Marriage Vow.
Meanwhile, Vino, a former model and the grandson of former Vice President Teofisto Guingona Jr. and nephew of Senator Teofisto Guingona III, is currently running for councilor in Zamboanga City's 2nd District.
