As part of the new batch of artists welcomed into the Star Magic family earlier this year, Raven Rigor said he has learned a lot from his first major acting experience in the teleserye Huwag Kang Mangamba which also includes his fellow Squad Plus members Ashton Salvador, Kyle Velino, Margaux Montana, Renshi Rueso, and Alyanna Angeles.

“Sobrang challenging pero masaya din. Parang rollercoaster siya. Though nahirapan ako at first na maka-cope, hindi ako pinabayaan sa lock-in taping or even sa in-between takes. Inaalalayan talaga nila kami. Kasi first project ko ito at it’s a blessing na makasama ko agad yung mga veteran actors, mga premyadong actors kaya I’m just grateful. Kaya sobra akong nagpapasalamat,” he said.

As a new actor, Raven shared what he finds most challenging about his craft, especially after doing one of his most unforgettable scenes in the soap.

“Para sa akin yung to be able to maglabas ng emotions. Kasi at first yung characters namin carefree lang kami na mga teenagers. Tapos yung transition namin at first nahirapan ako na balansehin yun. Kung paano ko idi-deliver yung emotions, ganun. Pero tinulungan kami nila sa HKM. Unforgettable yung scene na yun big scene siya pero at the same yun yung pinaka naging paborito ko na scene and para sa akin madali siya i-execute emotionally kasi kahit hindi kami mag-usap usap, parang in the scene nag-uusap yung mga mata namin tapos talagang natural na magiging emotional ka lang talaga and I think it’s one of the best scenes sa series,” he said.

Sharing what he learned from his veteran co-stars, Raven said he is grateful that they understood his shy side.

“Sa technical side, si Ms. Mylene (Dizon) on how to find your character. Talagang drinowing niya pa niya yun at dun ko talaga naintindihan yung finding your camera. Tapos sobrang dami ko ring natutunan from kuya Dom (Ochoa), tita Sylvia (Sanchez), Ms. Eula (Valdes), and everyone sa senior artists. Even sa mga Gold Squad inalalayan nila kami. Pero yung pinakanatutunan ko is yung importance ng pagkakaroon ng bond sa everyone sa cast. Kasi sobrang mahiyain ako. Pero as much as possible, nag-try silang mag-reach out and intindihin kami. Sobra kong na-appreciate yun as someone na baguhan na introvert. Kaya binigyan nila kami ng chance and sobrang thankful naming lahat dun,” he said.
