Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik have broken up.
In a report by People on October 28 (US time), the couple went their separate ways after an alleged argument that transpired between Zayn and Gigi's mother Yolanda Hadid.
"They are not together right now. They are both good parents though. They co-parent. Yolanda is of course very protective of Gigi. She wants the best for her daughter and grandchild," a source told People.
Meanwhile, in a report by TMZ, Yolanda claimed that Zayn "struck" her.
Zayn denied the said allegations, telling TMZ, "I adamantly deny striking Yolanda Hadid and for the sake of my daughter I decline to give any further details and I hope that Yolanda will reconsider her false allegations and move towards healing these family issues in private."
Gigi, through her representative, has issued a statement since the controversy arose.
"Gigi is solely focused on the best for Khai (their daughter). She asks for privacy during this time," People reported.
On October 29 (US time), People reported that Zayn pleaded no contest to harassment charges including four counts of harassment after he allegedly "grabbed and shoved" Yolanda into a dresser in an incident on September 29 according to court documents.
He was also charged with harassment against Gigi after telling her to "strap some f***ing balls and defend your partner against your f***ing mother in my house" via a phone call with the supermodel, the court documents claimed.
Charges against Zayn were also filed by security guard John McMahon with court documents saying he allegedly tried to "physically engage in a fight" while cursing at him.
The singer was fined but with conditions. He will be serving 360 days probation and is required to complete an anger management class and a domestic violence program. Zayn is also prohibited from having contact with Yolanda or John.
Gigi and Zayn have a daughter named Khai who just turned one last September.
