JK Labajo extended his congratulations to girlfriend Maureen Wroblewitz after her stint in the Miss Universe Philippines pageant.
On his Facebook page, JK wrote, "Congratulations kay Ms Pangasinan!!! Ikaw pa rin ang Ms. Universe ko."
The singer has been cheering for Maureen while the pageant was ongoing last September 30, posting appreciation posts for his girlfriend on his Facebook page.
"Ang ganda nung taga Pangasinan na candidate sa Ms. Universe PH grabe tapos balita ko ang bait at talino pa daw jusmio," JK wrote on Thursday, September 30.
"Mayghad everytime umiikot si Ms. Pangasinan umiikot din yung mundo ko," he added.
Maureen, who represented Pangasinan, was hailed as first runner-up in the pageant held in Bohol.
On October 1, Maureen took to social media to pen a message about her experience in the pageant.
"I may have not won the crown but I have won a sisterhood that I will cherish forever. What a crazy experience that was but I am grateful for how it‘s turned out and I‘m excited for what‘s to come," Maureen wrote on Instagram.
Maureen remarked that she hopes she inspired people with her participation in the pageant.
"I hope that through me I‘ve inspired you to strive to be the best version of yourselves! I have conquered my fear and I‘m sure I will conquer even more," she stated.
She added, "I‘m blessed to have had the support from all of you. Thank you for everything!"
Maureen also congratulated Beatrice Luigi Gomez who won the Miss Universe Philippines crown.
"Congratulations to @beatriceluigigmz She is one of the kindest, most down to earth and sweetest people that I know. She is a fighter and she deserves the crown! I‘m so proud of her!" she said.
She also extended her congratulations to the other candidates and thanked her beauty camp Aces and Queens for helping her prepare for Miss Universe Philippines.
"Congratulations to all the other Queens. We were a very strong batch and we were all deserving of the crown. Thank you to my @aces_and_queens family! You have done your best in helping me bring out the best that I could achieve in just 3 months of training," she stated.
Maureen also expressed her gratitude to the Miss Universe Philippines organization for giving her the opportunity to be part of the pageant.
"Thank you to the Miss Universe Philippines Organization @themissuniverseph for this incredible experience! It‘s not easy to achieve all that you did during a pandemic. I can‘t wait to work with you," she said.
"Pangasinan, this was for you!" she concluded.
