Alex Gonzaga documented her first pregnancy journey in her latest YouTube vlog.
In the vlog, Alex shared the journey from the moment she and her husband Mikee Morada learned about the pregnancy until they were informed by the doctor that she had an anembryonic pregnancy or a blighted ovum.
According to mayoclinic.org, an anembryonic pregnancy "occurs when an early embryo never develops or stops developing, is resorbed and leaves an empty gestational sac."
"Pinaka-painful for me kasi ako lang mag-isa don [sa clinic] tapos paglabas ko naga-antay si Mikee tapos naka-smile siya sa akin sabi niya, 'Ano?' Go?' Dumerecho na ako sa CR, sabi ko ‘no’, at pagdating ko sa CR umiyak na ako kasi as a wife parang feeling mo nag-fail ka sa husband mo kasi gustong-gusto na ni Mikee pero siyempre wala ka na namang magagawa don," she said.
She added, "Sa lahat ng mommies, walang may kasalanan. If it is meant that the Lord will bless you with a new life, it will happen, so 'yun lang. You just really have to leave it all up to the Lord."
Alex also shared the advice that she received from her doctor after what happened.
"Sabi ng doctor namin, 'You have to be strong for each other. Kung nanghihina 'yung isa, kailangang i-try mong maging malakas. Hindi pwedeng pareho kayong malungkot.' And with the grace of God, with the help of God, ganon 'yung nangyayari, 'pag si Mikee 'yung nanghihina, bigla akong lumalakas," she shared.
Through the vlog, Alex said that she wants to provide hope to those who are undergoing the same situation.
"Sana makatulong itong vlog namin na kahit masakit, there will come a time na one day, maco-cover siya ng joy ng Panginoon na ipapalit niya doon. Everyday nagkakaroon kami ng bigger hopes, napapalitan ng saya 'yung nararamdaman namin and that is really the grace of God."
