Having been hailed as Spotify’s most streamed Filipino artist last year, Pinoy folk band Ben&Ben admitted that there is also pressure in knowing that their music has the power to influence their listeners.

“There is definitely an important sense of responsibility with the messages we include in our songs. We always try our best to make sure our music not only uplifts our listeners, but also accompanies them in the difficult things we all go through every day. For us, as much as our platform is a big responsibility, it is also such a privilege to have this kind of impact on the lives of our listeners,” Ben&Ben shared in an exclusive interview with PUSH for ING’s 31st anniversary concert event.

The band, led by vocalists Paolo Benjamin and Miguel Benjamin Guico, have collaborated with local and foreign artists this year like SB19, Moira dela Torre, Taiwanese artist WeiBird, and Young K of South Korean group Day 6. Even with multiple hit songs like “Kathang Isip”, “Maybe The Night”, “Araw Araw”, and “Ride Home” to name a few, Ben&Ben shared why it is important for them to do collaborations in the coming years.

“We’ve always loved collaborating because at the core we are all musicians who simply love making music with other musicians. This pandemic however, we deeply missed being able to collaborate live as well as perform live. The list of people we want to collaborate with grows more and more as we are always open to trying out new things,” they shared.

As the group chosen to be part of ING Philippines’ 31st anniversary this year, the band said they feel honored to be part the company’s milestone by performing in a free Zoom concert on October 23, Saturday.

“We were so excited to be invited because some of us love the ING services as well. In addition to the other banks we use, ING helps greatly during times we need to deposit cheques from home, as well as use a separate account. Our listeners can expect our signature energetic and powerful live versions of their favorite songs. It’s definitely worth a watch for some good vibes and good music for the weekend!”
