Actress Isabel Oli took to social media to share her fitness journey, one year after she decided to get back on track and regain her pre-pregnancy body.

Actress Isabel Oli took to social media to share her fitness journey, one year after she decided to get back on track and regain her pre-pregnancy body.

In an Instagram post, Isabel, who just recently turned 40, said she aims to encourage and inspire fellow moms and women who also wish to stay fit and healthy.

 


 

"So, for several months now, I have been getting DMs asking how I [got] rid of my extra pounds and gained back my prepartum body," she began.

"Actually, my fitness journey began October 11, 2020. Back then, I was really starting to get frustrated cause I felt that as I aged, losing my body fats is getting harder and harder. I badly wanted to get back in shape, but honestly, the push and motivation to start doing it is really a huge challenge," she added.

Isabel said it was her love for her family that prompted her to finally take the plunge and begin her fitness journey.

"Sa akin, I just had to decide to do what's best for me and for my family. I need to keep reminding myself that I should prioritize my well-being so I could really take care my precious ones at home," she said.

While she had a surprisingly easy start, the actress admitted that there had been moments where she was close to giving up on her journey. Thankfully, she had her husband, actor-director John Prats, as well as her close friends and fitness coach, who kept her focused and motivated.

"Did I have an easy start? Surprisingly, yes. Ang dali lang magsimula if you are really inspired to begin something. The question is, can you persevere? Truth be told, I had my moments. There are times na tinatamad ako. One thing that helped me though when this happens is the push I get from those people who care about me, my hubby, my close friends, even my fitness coach. I thank God that they're there to constantly keep me motivated and determined," she said.

Isabel went on to share her realizations throughout her journey, among them is that having a thin or lean physique doesn't guarantee that one is in good shape.

"A good sense of well-being happens when we are able to provide care an nourishment for our spiritual, physical, mental, and emotional health. If we only care for one area and neglect the others, imbalance occurs," she said.

Towards the end of her post, Isabel acknowledged that she still has a long way to go, but added that she is happy and proud of the progress she's made thus far. She also gave a shoutout to those who have played a part in her fitness journey.

Isabel, who is a former model, turned 40 on Wednesday, October 20.

She and her husband, who have been married since 2015, have three children -- Lilly Feather, 4, Daniel Freedom, 2, and Lilla Forest, who just recently turned one.
