Actor JM de Guzman proudly shared with his followers that he has not experienced panic or anxiety attacks for almost two months now.
In his most recent Instagram update, JM shared the changes in his lifestyle that contributed to his improved mental health, including adopting a clean diet, cutting back on alcohol, and spending less time on his phone.
“Palakpakan.. mag diary muna ako. Dear diary. ‘Lam mo ba two almost [months] panic/ anxiety free,” he began.
“Sakripisyo. disiplina. change lifestyle,” he continued. “3 weeks straight Intermittent fasting 16/8 to 18/4, then calorie deficit only clean and healthy food. alak free. pambihirang okasyon 2 glasses max.”
“ran 5k almost everyday (yung iba fasted runs). spent most of the time alone, iwas cellphone, reflecting. praying. solfeggio freqs meditation.”
Of the past few weeks, JM said: “kalungkot pero madami akong nahasa, [like] music.”
He also explained that he is doing this for his future partner, saying, “kawawa naman future wife ko. paalagain,” followed by a neutral face emoji.
Meanwhile, aside from improved mental health, JM noted that his new lifestyle comes with a bonus: body fat/weight loss—something he is also definitely happy about.

JM, who previously admitted that he struggled with anxiety attacks, bipolar [disorder], and depression, has made no secret of his mental health struggles.
In fact, his latest extended play (EP), titled Convalescence, was inspired by his mental health journey, particularly “how music and songwriting helped my recovery, through expressing everything in paper and melody during my time inside, during my therapeutic intervention.”
According to the actor, they key message of his latest music release is "to spread awareness on mental and emotional and spiritual health".
"That there is hope. That love heals. Everything is possible with God," he added.
