The official trailer of More Than Blue, the Philippine adaptation of the hit 2009 romance-drama film from South Korea, was released on Monday, October 18.
More Than Blue, as in the original, centers on the story of a terminally ill man who tries to find a suitable husband for a friend he secretly has feelings for so she wouldn't be alone when he dies.
Yassi Pressman and JC Santos star in the remake, which was directed by Nuel Naval, who also helmed the Philippine adaptation of another popular South Korean film, Miracle in Cell No. 7.
More Than Blue started filming last month and wrapped up after just three weeks of lock-in taping. On their last day of shooting, Yassi took to Instagram to share her excitement and express her gratitude to the cast and crew of the film.
"#MoreThanBluePH The Movie got me feeling like......... Trust me when I say I'm happy inside," she wrote. "Honestly can't wait for you all to fall in love with the characters in this film sooooooo much, that it hurts.
"Today was our last day of shooting, and I am so proud of every person that worked SO HARD to get this done. And get it done so beautifully," she continued.
"THANK YOU!!! To all my directors to everyone!! Staff! Crew!! SALAMAT PO! You all know who you are!!!!" Yassi added.
She also said that she is looking forward to the film's release this coming November.
"Sana po kayo rin," she added.
More Than Blue marks the second time Yassi and JC, who are both talents of Viva Artists Agency, joined forces for a project. They were previously both on the long-running action series FPJ's Ang Probinsyano. They are joined by Ariella Arida and Diego Loyzaga in the heartbreaking film produced by Viva Films.
More Than Blue will stream exclusively on VivaMax starting this November 19.
