Kylie Verzosa is on a roll.
After starring in films The Housemaid and Bekis on The Run, the beauty queen-turned-actress announced that she will top bill the upcoming movie Sisid, by acclaimed director Brillante Mendoza.
On Instagram, Kylie posted photos of herself on the set of her newest film, which based on her post was shot in Pola, Oriental Mindoro.
"It was such an honor to work with direk @brillante_mendoza and the entire cast and crew. Such a challenge but thoroughly enjoyed the process! Can’t wait for you guys to see it!" she said.
Aside from Kylie, Sisid also stars rising star Paolo Gumabao, along with actors Vince Rillon and Mayton Eugenio.
Sisid is produced by Viva Films. No further details about the project has been announced, such as its storyline and release date, but an Instagram Stories update from Kylie indicates that the movie will be released in 2022.
Meanwhile, apart from Sisid, Kylie will also be starring in the upcoming movie My Husband, My Lover, together with Marco Gumabao and Adrian Alandy.
The movie is directed by Mac Alejandre and written by veteran writer Ricky Lee. It also features actress Cindy Miranda, who recently top-billed the sexy drama thriller Nerisa.
My Husband, My Lover marks the second time that Kylie and Marco joined forces for a project, after the digital series Parang Kayo, Pero Hindi, last February.
A target release date for the said project has also yet to be announced as of this writing.
Kylie, 29, first made a name for herself when she won the Miss International pageant in 2016.
From being a beauty queen, Kylie transitioned to a showbiz figure, and later, an actress.
On what made her decide to dabble in acting, Kylie said: "After the beauty queen thing happened, people just started knocking on my door and I felt like I wanted to try it.
"I think you’re really a beauty queen only during your reign. So, what do you do with it when your reign is over? In my case, I was ready, eager to see what was next for me."
