Netflix just dropped the teaser trailer for the second volume of the fifth and final season of Money Heist.

The first volume premiered on September 1 and picked up from the previous season’s cliffhanger with the gang trapped for over a hundred hours inside the Bank of Spain with an army ready to take them down.

In the trailer, The Professor narrated, “In the last few hours, I have lost some very important people, and I am not going to let anyone else die for this heist.” They also lost Tokyo while still being trapped in the bank with their pursuers.

Money Heist, also known as La Casa De Papel, is a Spanish crime drama that first premiered in 2017. The series became popular worldwide after Netflix started producing and streaming the series.

In March of this year, Netflix announced that there will be a Korean adaptation of the series. It will star Yoo Ji-tae as the professor, Park Hae-soo as Berlin, Jeon Jong-seo as Tokyo, Lee Won-jong as Moscow, Kim Ji-hun as Denver, Jang Yoon-ju as Nairobi, Park Jung-woo as Rio, Kim Ji-hun as Helsinki, and Lee Kyu-ho as Oslo.

The final season was met with challenges as the global pandemic hit before production could begin.

“When we began to write Part 5 in the midst of the pandemic, we felt that we had to change what was expected from the ten-episode season and used every tool we could to create the sensation of a season finale or series finale in the first volume itself. We decided to work in an extremely aggressive genre, putting The Gang on the ropes.

“In volume 2, we focus more on the emotional situation of the characters. It is a journey across their sentimental map that connects us directly to their departure,” Álex Pina, the show’s creator, explained.

Money Heist Season 5 Volume 2 premieres on Netflix on December 3.
