After getting into biking for fitness earlier this year, radio personality DJ Chacha (real name Czarina Balba) shared how she get into a minor accident while long-distance biking last Sunday, October 10. The 34-year-old former MOR 101.9 deejay talked about the incident in her most recent Instagram post.

“My first bike accident happened today. Ang ruta namin ay QC-Barasoain Church-QC. Excited ako kase siyempre first 80km ride ko. Napakasakit, Kuya Eddie. Char.

DJ Chacha first started posting about her cycling adventures with her non-showbiz husband Michael Guevara last August and has been trying to challenge herself with longer distances with every bike ride in and around the city. In the same post, DJ Chacha said she considers herself blessed that it was just a minor injury to her legs and damage to her bike.

“The Lord really protected me today.

Before ending her post, the former Pinoy Big Brother housemate also gave a shoutout to the local government units responsible for the pothole that caused her accidental fall. Char,” she added.

Last year, she penned an emotional post after being laid off along with other ABS-CBN employees working for the 18 FM and five AM radio stations under the network in August last year, describing it as one of the lowest points in her life. Ever since getting into biking, DJ Chacha has been sharing how much she enjoys going on rides with her husband in different locations all over the city.

DJ Chacha was a celebrity housemate in PBB’s Season 7 in 2016. The radio deejay voluntarily exited on Day 11 citing the reason that she wanted to go back to doing radio work and need to take care of her elder daughter. She married businessman Michael Guevara in 2019 after six years of dating. The couple welcomed their first child together named Savannah Alejandra last year. DJ Chacha also has a daughter named Saab from a previous relationship.

As a radio jock, DJ Chacha is best known for her MOR 101.9 program Heartbeats. She is also the author of two books—Napakasakit, Ate Chacha and Anak ng Patola! Mas masakit, Ate Chacha—that give people advice on different relationship problems. Both books are under ABS-CBN Publishing.
