Janella Salvador shared her journey towards motherhood through a new vlog released on Tuesday, January 5.
Following months of speculation, Janella Salvador finally confirmed that she gave birth to a healthy baby boy named Jude Trevor Paterson through a vlog released on the couple's joint-YouTube channel.
From the moment they found the gender of their baby to the times they spent together while waiting for their baby's birth, Janella and Markus had everything documented in the vlog.
Based on the date indicated in the video, it was last May 30 when they found out the gender of the baby. Meanwhile, Janella gave birth to her baby last October 20, 2020.
Both Janella and Markus shared messages for Jude, mostly expressing how much their precious child meant to both of them.
Janella admitted that she felt nervous at first to introduce Jude to the world, but eventually realized he is “too precious to not be shared.”
“Hey, Jude, as I compose this, I’m staring at your perfect little face with all the love I didn’t know I had in me. I’m feeling so many emotions, but mostly excited that we’re finally ready to introduce you to the world. Well, if I’m going to be honest, I’m quite nervous about this day because I know how harsh the world can be,” Janella said.
She went on: “If your dad and I could have you to ourselves forever in our own quiet little world, we would. But that would be selfish. You’re too precious to not be shared. The world deserves to see the precious smiles you give us — the ones that melt our hearts. The world deserves to see you grow in your own unique self. I can’t believe you’re mine.”
“It’s funny because I’ve heard these words from every mother in the world and thought to myself, ‘how cliché does that sound?’ but now I completely understand. It truly is the best feeling — something you won’t be able to fathom until you go through it yourself,” the actress continued.
Markus, for his part, said he would do anything to protect his firstborn son and promised to love him forever.
“To my son, my firstborn, my darling boy, there isn’t enough words to express how much love I have for you. The minute I saw you, I knew I would do anything in this world to protect you and I can’t wait to introduce you to the world and hold you in my arms even until you think it’s uncool and get mad at me as you walk off to your friends. And yes, I will be that dad. You are loved forever by your mother and I,” he said.
Friends and family members of the couple — including Janella’s mom Jenine Desiderio — gave a message to her grandson.
“You sure made the daily COVID-restricted lives of the people around you a lot better by your mere presence. And now, it’s time to share that joy with the rest of the world,” the actress said.
“Russel and I are very lucky to be one of the first to hold you, to hug you, and to witness your transformation from being a fetus to the adorable, interactive, infant, that you now are,” she added.
“You even came to me in a dream even before you were born, but I didn’t see your face,” Jenine stated.
“I know you came to us as a surprise, but you are one pleasant surprise that we all don’t mind having. We love you very much, and I know that the whole world will love you just as much,” she continued.
Reports about about Janella’s pregnancy made rounds back in September 2020.
It was in 2019 when rumors about Markus Paterson and Janella Salvador dating first surfaced. They confirmed their releationship last September 12.
