Aside from their growing number of fans, new boy group BGYO also received a warm welcome during their official debut as a group at the Be The Light: The BGYO Launch held last January 29, Friday. Their co-performers on ASAP Natin ‘To formally welcomed Gelo, Akira, JL, Mikki, and Nate into the industry by sharing messages of support during the event.
“Grabe this is your launching day and I just want to congratulate you guys. I’ve seen you perform ng mga maraming beses na rin sa ASAP at Showtime and then nakita ko yung growth ninyo and yung teamwork ninyo as a team so keep up the good work and congratulations on your official launch today.”
“Congratulations BGYO. At last at officially i-lo-launch na kayo. Gusto ko lang sabihin sa inyo na I believe in you guys. Naniniwala ako sa kakayahan ninyong lahat and I admire you. I am a fan. Nung unang beses ko pa lang kayo napanuod sinabi ko na ang bongga ninyong lahat, yung disiplina niyo sa pag-pe-perform ninyo, sa pag-re-rehearse, sa craft ninyo ay sobrang hinahangaan ko. At kasama ako sa mga papalakpak sa lahat ng mga tagumpay ninyong lahat. Congratulations, God bless you and keep soaring!”
“The best kayo sa sayaw, kanta, disiplina. Isa sa mga hinahangaan ko sa inyo dahil ang Streetboys halos ganyan din ang ginawa. Kaya sana ang grupo niyo ay maging solid pa at mahalin niyo kung ano yung ginagawa niyo. More power and good luck. God bless.”
“The first time I met BGYO, Star Hunt trainee boys pa sila nun was actually the rehearsals of ASAP Natin ‘To. And I think I was on the stage, I was blocking my number for ‘Dynamite’ and they were right after me. And inintroduce sila sa akin. Sabi these are the new trainees of Star Hunt and sabi ko, ‘Nice to meet you guys.’ And nakita ko agad yung respeto nila sa co-artists and I was really impressed na nakita ko agad yung how they are being trained to be the stars that they are now. When I first saw their performance on ASAP andun kami lahat nila ate Kim (Chiu), it was the opening and sila ata yung finale part and lahat kami nagulat, we were all like cheering like crazy kasi sabi namin ibang klase itong mga artist na ‘to. You could really see the craft and passion nila sa ginagawa nila. Lahat sila sabay sabay. Hindi sila na-intimidate na nandun yung ibang artists. Talagang ginawa nila yung best nila from that very first performance. So one thing that I really like about BGYO siyempre is they’re all very determined and kita mo talaga yun sa kilos nila. They’re all really passionate and very focused and lahat sila mababait, lahat sila puwede mo kausapin and have a good talk with. I’ve been able to chat with each person and lahat sila sobrang bait and sobrang accommodating. I just can’t wait for more people to get to know them.”
BGYO was first formed in 2019 after talent search Star Hunt started training the boys for the international entertainment stage. BGYO is composed of Gelo Rivera, Akira Morishita, JL Toreliza, Mikk Claver Jr., and Nate Porcalla.
