Danish singer Maximillian — the breakout newcomer behind the hit “Beautiful Scars” — ushered in the new year with a collaboration with the Philippines’ Most Streamed Artist for 2020, Moira Dela Torre.
Maximillian tapped Kapamilya singer Moira for an acoustic version of his breakthrough hit “Beautiful Scars.”
The two artists virtually performed their collaboration together at the New Year countdown event called BYE2020: A Virtual Music Experience.
During the performance, Maximillian expressed his gratitude to everyone who supported him this year, saying: “Thank you so much. And thank you, Moira, for joining me, singing [with me]. It’s been amazing.”
He continued: “I don’t really have the words either to like really describe how grateful I am for all the support and all the love and all the comments, everyone listening to the music, sharing the same emotions and thoughts and for sharing your own life experiences with me which I think is wonderful.”
The 20-year-old Copenhagen-based artist also said he hopes to fly to Manila this year and be able to see his fans.
“Let’s create a wonderful 2021. I really hope that I can go and see you all as soon as possible,” he said. He added in jest: “If I can’t fly in 2021, I’m going to sail. So I’ll see you soon.”
Head to the 4:39:12 mark to listen to their performance.
