ABS-CBN has released an official statement addressing the doctored photo of its talents, Maris Racal and Sue Ramirez, which makes them both appear naked.

In the statement published Tuesday, January 26, the network and Star Magic—the talent agency handling both Maris and Sue—condemned the "maliciously edited image" of the two actresses that has been circulating online.

"[We] condemn the act of illegally manipulating photos of celebrities or anyone, which is a form of gender-based online sexual harassment under RA11313 or The Safe Spaces Act," the statement read.

ABS-CBN added that it intends to pursue legal action against those who continue to post, distribute, or duplicate the said image.

"We would like to appeal to everyone to stop sharing these fake photos on social media... Everyone should be treated with dignity and respect, even on social media," the network said.

Earlier, both Maris and Sue publicly denounced the fake nude photo of them that has made the rounds online.

Magbago na," said Maris.

"Ewan ko ba kung anong dahilan at pinuputakte niyo kami ng ganito," Sue, for her part, said. Umayos kayo.”

“At 'wag tanga pls.

In a separate post, the 24-year-old actress addressed those who are spreading her and Maris' doctored photo online.

“Nakakadiri ka. Sa lahat ng nagshare neto at sa demonyo sa lupa na gumawa at nag edit ng kababuyan na to, nakakatawa ba to para sa inyo?!” she said.

Addressing her fans and followers on social media: “Nakikiusap ako sa inyo. Kulturang mapanira. Kulturang kasuklam-suklam.

“This can happen to anyone. Sa nakakaalam kung san nagsimula ito, pls contact me through DM. Help me get to the bottom of this.

Abusado kayo."
