After signing a contract with ABS-CBN on January 15, actress Janine Gutierrez made her debut appearance on ASAP Natin ‘To, Sunday, January 24, where she performed “Panaginip” along with veteran singers Martin Nievera, Gary Valenciano, and Ogie Alcasid.
Prior to her song number, Janine was surprised with pre-recorded messages from her family—including her parents Lotlot de Leon and Ramon Christopher, brother Diego, and grandparents Pilita Corrales and Christopher de Leon—who all congratulated and wished her luck on her new journey as a Kapamilya.
“I am so happy to be here with all of you. Thank you so much for the warm Kapamilya welcome,” said Janine after her performance. “I am so grateful and honored na kayo pa ang kasama ko dito sa first time ko sa ASAP stage. Thank you so much.
“This is the first time I’ve been inside a studio here. Surreal, parang panaginip talaga. I am just so happy that everything has fallen into place. It’s a new year, new opportunities,” she added.
Janine will be a co-host of ASAP Natin ‘To, which also marked a milestone as it joined the Sunday programming of TV5 following a partnership between the network and ABS-CBN.
It was on January 15 when Janine formalized her transfer to ABS-CBN with a publicized contract signing.
Asked what the public can expect from her now that she's a Kapamilya, Janine said: “Well, I’m not sure if I can talk about what project yet, kasi right now, ‘yung mga movies ‘yung sure.”
“I have a movie with Paulo (Avelino) which was supposed to come out last year pa but nag lockdown, yung Ngayon Kaya. I have a movie with JC Santos naman, yung Dito at Doon which is coming out I think in March. So 'yun ang super excited ako about,” she added.
Janine said a teleserye is also already in the works, although she cannot go into details just yet.
Nevertheless, she said: “I’m excited to see kung saan nila ako ilalagay.”
