Toni Gonzaga considers starring in the Philippine adaptation of My Sassy Girl as her biggest achievement to date.
Her husband Paul Soriano agreed and pointed out that it is actually Toni's "dream film."
Toni shared that it was in 2006 when she first watched the movie.
"First time ko napanood 'yung pelikula [in] 2006 when we were shooting You Are the One. Di ko malilimutan 'yun. Nasa Pampanga kami. Sabi ni direk Cathy (Garcia-Molina), 'Panoorin mo 'yung My Sassy Girl, yan 'yung peg namin sa 'yo. Dapat ganyan ka pagka-feisty,'" she shared in her latest vlog with Paul.
Toni remarked that she also considers it as one of her biggest blessings.
"So 20 years after the film was released, I have been given the opportunity to play the role, 'yung Philippine adaptation ng My Sassy Girl so 'yun I consider it as a big blessing," she stated.
It was on January 20, when TinCan Films, Toni's production company, announced that Toni will headline the film.
"In celebration of its 20th Anniversary, this year we will relive the classic Korean RomCom with its Philippine adaptation. On her birthday, we are proud to announce Toni Gonzaga is Philippines’ My Sassy Girl," Tincan posted on its social media account.
Meanwhile, when asked by Paul in the vlog about her dreams for 2021, Toni relayed that there are a couple of big dreams that she wrote down this year.
She explained, "If you write down your dreams, it has to really, really be scary. It has to scare you and it has to be something that is so impossible. Kasi kung paano ka magsulat ng dreams mo determines how much you believe and how much you have faith in God."
"If you can get a grasp of how big your God is, so you will ask Him big and write down your visions and goals in life, that's where your life is going to head," Toni added.
