If you are rabid followers of romantic dramas, then this series on Netflix titled Bridgerton is for you.

The series had its official release on the streaming platform last Christmas Day. Watching this series--one can admire how the two leads—Regé-Jean Page as Simon Arthur Henry Fitzranulph Basset (the Duke of Hastings) and Phoebe Dynevor as Daphne Bridgerton have fought their love for each other.

Bridgerton is an American period drama series created by Chris Van Dusen and produced by Shonda Rhimes. The series is based on Julia Quinn's novels set in the competitive world of Regency London high society during the season when debutantes get to present themselves at court.

Filipinos will love the Cinderella-like love stories with a more human approach since it centers on the Bridgerton family: Violet, Lady Bridgerton; her four sons—Anthony, Benedict, Colin, and Gregory as well as her four daughters—Daphne, Eloise, Francesca, and Hyacinth. Also featured are the Featheringtons: Portia, Lady Featherington; her husband the Baron; and their three daughters—Philippa, Prudence, and Penelope—with Marina Thompson.

Women must possess a bevy of talents in their quest for suitors. She must be a witty conversationalist, an accomplished musician, and an expert in the art of the swoon. That is exactly what Daphne and the rest of the girls aspire for. Dynevor's character is blessed with such and is favored by Queen Charlotte (Golda Rosheuvel). The latter even wanted her esteemed nephew, Prince Friedrich of Prussia (Freddie Stroma) to marry Daphne, the so-called Diamond of the First Water.

Perhaps what's rather appealing about the series is the socialite-gossip and tabloid columnist, Lady Whistledown, who writes about the high-society people. She's the author of a scandalous society newsletter. In the series, Julie Andrews is the voice of Lady Whistledown.

This series is not appropriate for 13 years and below since it has sizzling bed scenes and some nudity. Apart from Daphne and Simon’s lovemaking (Episode Five), viewers will [definitely] not resist to ogle on the scenes between two couple—Anthony (Jonathan Bailey), the Viscount Bridgerton, the eldest Bridgerton son with his lover Siena Rosso (Sabrina Bartlett), the opera singer.
