Actress and jewelry designer KC Concepcion shared tips on how to set up the perfect picnic in her most recent vlog.
"If you know me, you would know that I love picnics," said KC. "I love being in the great outdoors. I love a nice glass of rosé and also, pica-picas, or little munchies to eat. I like being out in the grass, being under the sun but not too much sun. I love being around trees, under the shade, with my puppies, and, of course, with a good group of friends. Great company is always the secret ingredient to having a great picnic.
"So, I want to show you how to set up a Parisian picnic, or just any picnic in general," she added.
One of the tips KC gave in the video is to always prepare food that's easy to take around.
"In my case, I like three different kinds of cheese. I brought a gorgonzola, brie, and manchego. I brought crackers, sardines 'cause that's super easy to find here in the Philippines, and it's local. And then I love cherry tomatoes. As much as possible, I like using organic tomatoes, and I love eating tomatoes with mustard... I also like bringing the classic French baguette because it is so versatile. You can eat it with anything and any way," she shared.
Another tip is to always bring fresh vegetables and fruits to the picnic.
"The fresher the food, the better it will taste," she said.
As for the drinks, she recommended bringing a bottle of chilled rosé, fresh juice, or just cold water.
Among the other picnic essentials she mentioned were insect repellents, alcohols, and disinfectants; a portable electric fan; and wet wipes.
In the vlog, KC also stressed the importance of sticking to a theme, wearing comfortable clothes, choosing good music, and bringing a quality picnic mat.
Ultimately, however, KC said the secret to a perfect picnic "is really in good company, laughter, and just great conversation as usual."
As of this writing, KC's latest vlog has already been viewed for more than 47,000 times.
KC, who started vlogging in February 2020, now has nearly 270,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel.
