WATCH: Ex ‘PBB’ housemate Jai Agpangan in tears as she opens up about comatose scare

Former Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) housemate Jai Agpangan opened up about what she went through recently in a new vlog.

According to Jai, she decided to come forward and tell her story as she has gotten tired of hearing people assume what she has actually experienced in the past couple of weeks.

“I’m just going to say something about what really happened to me. Actually, it was a very hard time for me. Wala akong ligo ngayon. Walang makeup pero gusto ko lang maging honest talaga. Kasi ayoko na ng mga assuming na people na parang draining sa akin. Ayoko na talaga ng stress,” she said.

According to Jai, she kept on vomiting on the day before Christmas following an infection in her left ear.

“Actually, before Christmas, like December 24. I experienced swelling sa left ear ko. I don’t know. Baka dahil sa piercings ko na infected pala siya. But nagsusuka ako,” she stated.

Going into details, she went on: “Like I was cooking for Noche Buena kasi I like to cook. It’s like my hobby. Nag-cu-cook ako ng spaghetti because I will attend my cousin’s birthday. So I was making spaghetti for her tapos I was making samgyup for my family.

“Tapos ang sama ng pakiramdam ko. Parang nasusuka ako. I was waiting for Joj kasi she was doing her errands like buying stuff, buying gifts for Christmas. Tapos bigla akong nag-stop mag-cook and then sumusuka ako like 20 times,” she said.

After vomiting, Jai sought her sister’s help to have someone come over to their house because she could no longer carry the pain.

“I asked my sister Jasper, our youngest, parang ‘Jasper, can you call the massager kasi ang sama ng pakiramdam ko? Pwede mo ba ako pisil-pisilin kasi parang I cannot breathe well. So parang I was scared,” she said.

She added: “Kasi honestly, kami ni Joj matiisin kami. Like hangga’t kaya namin, hindi naman namin sasabihin. Hindi naman kami magrereklamo.”

But Jai said she eventually passed out so her grandmother went on to their neighbor who happens to be a doctor.

“So ‘yung massager namin, si Steph, ‘Jai, okay ka lang?’ parang pinipisil niya ako tapos 20 times na ako sumusuka. Tapos hindi ko na-remember nag-pass out na ako. Buti nalang talaga, thank God na lang talaga, nu’ng 24 ‘yung Lola namin parang nag-knock sa door ng neighbor namin kasi doctor,” she said.

She added: “Nag-ask kami help. Hindi ko alam na parang sabi ng Mom ko I was peeing sa dress ko lahat. Super basa ako ng pee ko. Tapos pinakuhaan na ako ng blood pressure. I cannot breathe, nagsi-seizure na ako.”

From December 25 until December 27, Jai was in a coma and was forced to eat via nasogastric intubation and feeding or NGT.

“Actually, grabe ‘yung nangyari sa akin. I got coma for almost three days. 24, 25, 26. Tapos 27 ako nag-wake daw. Hindi ko alam na NGT . Tapos lumbar tap ako kasi ako nila meningitis. Parang na-tetanus ako, infected, sepsis. Ang daming sinabi sa akin doctor. Pero buti na lang mabait ‘yung doctor namin magaling,” she said.

Despite everything she has gone through, Jai has nothing but gratitude for having been able to survive.

“I thank God for everything especially my family. Kasi parang naging support system ko sila. Kasi honestly parang very serious matter talaga ‘yung sa amin. Very open matter na naging open sa amin lahat, mag-take care sa lahat,” she said.

Meanwhile, Jai assured her fans that she’s now slowly recovering.

“Life is a blessing and grabe sa prayers talaga and sa mga tao nag-bibelieve sa amin. Grabe hindi ko ‘to makakayanan. Half death na kami ng sister ko and I was so scared kasi parang ‘di ko kaya. Kasi I know I have a purpose pa. And na-experience ko ngayon, medyo masakit pa kasi two weeks palang pero recovering na ako,” she said.
