Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray graces the cover of a revamped Mega Magazine for this month of September.
 
In a Facebook post of Mega Magazine on Friday, September 4, the fashion brand said, “In victory and adversity, courageous Catriona Gray knows no other direction—onward and upward is the only way to go.”
 
“Known for always looking at the silver linings, the beauty queen points out to her faith, gratitude, and benevolence to keep her hopeful amid the adversities of life. "What has been giving me joy is magnifying the good. It is a choice at the end of the day,” it further said.

Likewise, a teaser of Catriona’s “Mega Experience,” set to be out by September 5, was also uploaded on the social media page.


“I hope that the message I am sending is that it is not right to just sit by and take it. That is not to say, that I’m going put out a lengthy statement, but I am speaking with my actions. I am also speaking up for every other woman who’s ever found themselves degraded, bullied, and hurt that way,” the post quoted the beauty queen.
 
Meanwhile, Mega Magazine, in their pursuit to adapt to the evolving times especially in this pandemic, has decided to make a change in their brand. With the hashtags #MEGAHasChanged and the #TheNewPhase on their social media posts, Suki Salvador, VP for Content and Creatives at One Mega Group, said in a press release sent to PUSH, “The role of the magazines after COVID-19 has really changed. We are no longer a product that curates products for people to buy. Instead, we provide ideas on how to make their lives better.”


Accompanying this change is a redesign of the magazine’s logo. “Since its inception in 1992, under the guiding light of our founding editor, Sari V. Yap, the masthead changed four times. This logo update is an ode to the times—a symbolism of great change that not only affected us, but the rest of the world. As we embrace change, we not only focus on the visual storytelling, but also the messaging and content. This is our resolve: to keep print strong and our point-of-view relevant,” said Peewee Reyes-Isidro, Editor-in-Chief.
