Three days after her social media accounts and email were hacked from overseas, Sunshine Cruz happily shared that she has finally gotten back control of her accounts. Last August 31, the 43-year-old actress first shared her online dilemma when her account name was changed and she was not able to log into her accounts. She shared, “I can’t log in now sa email account ko. Password isn’t working. Code is being sent to another cel number. Someone’s trying to hack both my FB and IG.”

Sunshine also shared screen shots of messages from her hacker who was trying to extort money from her in exchange for control of her account. She wrote, “Akala ko tapos na ito kagabi.

“Family and friends if my IG suddenly disappears, just please be careful. Baka kasi gamitin ang account ko to do bad things. Please ingat po. I’ve been trying my best to resolve this but sadly, ayaw nya magpatinag. It’s not easy to reach IG help center. Kahit anong palit ko sa email at cellphone number ko he resets my IG then once makapasok ako, nagagawa niyang palitan ang email sa na hack niyang Gmail account ko. Alam na din niya ang cellphone number ko na naka-input sa hacked Gmail ko. ”

As a public service to her 2.4M followers on Instagram, Sunshine advised that they increase the security of their social media accounts and emails. She shared, “Kelan pa naging Kerem Tanrikulu ang name ko? From Turkey ang hacker. Nakakaloka. He wasn’t able to hack my IG and FB. Just my Gmail account which is now being investigated by Gmail. I suggest ha lagyan po natin ng 2 factor authentication ang ating mga social media accounts and emails. Better to be safe than sorry.”

Last September 3, the celebrity mom happily shared that she was able to finally retrieve her account. She wrote, “Good morning!   ️
Nabawi ko ang Gmail account ko! 🏻
I temporarily disabled my IG account but I am back.
I don’t know how I did it but I guess nabawi ko dahil busy lang si hacker..”
