Pia Wurtzbach had a number of realizations during quarantine, which came in the most ordinary of things.
Sharing a photo of herself striking a pose with a stunning view of a sunset behind her, the 30-year-old beauty queen admitted that the city girl in her previously didn’t show much appreciation for such a view.
She tweeted: “I’m a city girl and I love the fast paced lifestyle. I got used to living in cities with tall buildings and I have to admit, I was never really crazy about sunsets, sunrises or anything with a view. Parang sa akin kasi araw araw namang nangyayari yan so bakit ko tititigan?”

But just like most people stuck at home during quarantine, she also had a lot of realizations and became more appreciative of what the great outdoors has to offer.
“Pero nitong quaratine parang sobrang naappreciate ko na sya. Ngayon naiintindihan ko na. Naappreciate ko na mag hiking, naappreciate ko na yung feeling ng araw sa mukha ko, yung pag lubog ng araw, paglalangoy sa dagat (kahit na di naman ako marunong lumangoy basta LAHAT),” she stated.

Admitting that watching sunset has become a stress reliever, Pia shared how thankful she is for the opportunity to experience such moments.
“Sobrang stress reliever pala talaga nya. Alam kong napaka swerte ko na maexperience ito kaya sobrang grateful ako,” she said.

Despite what the COVID-19 has brought upon the world, Pia said she personally saw a silver lining in it.
“May mga magandang naituro rin pala itong COVID sa akin like going back to basics. Iba na tingin ko sa mga sunsets ngayon. Ayun. Wala lang, shinare ko lang,” she stated.
