Marjorie Barretto is expected to receive the Silver Creator Award from YouTube after recently getting 100,000 subscribers on the video sharing site.

The former actress announced her social media milestone with a post on Instagram on Friday night, August 7, in which she thanked all those who have been supporting her vlog.

Sharing a compilation of her introductions, Marjorie wrote: “Last week I woke up to 100k subscribers on my YouTube Channel. From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU to all those who have subscribed, watched, left good comments, cooked my recipes and shared them on your Instagram and tagged me. You have no idea how happy this has made me.”

She then credited her children for giving her the push to start a vlog, saying, “This project was possible because I had my kids’ encouragement and support from Day 1.”

“Thank you for pushing me and cheering me on. I truly love you all. Grateful to all of you for allowing me to share bits and pieces of my life, my love for cooking, entertaining and just simply being a Mom to my children,” she added.

Marjorie’s daughters Dani and Julia are also vloggers.

Dani, her only child with actor Kier Legaspi, started vlogging in 2017, and has since earned more than 250,000 subscribers.

Meanwhile, Julia, her daughter with comedian Dennis Padilla, launched her vlog in September 2019. As of writing, her YouTube channel, “Just Julia”, has more than 400,000 subscribers.

For her part, Marjorie joined the world of vlogging just last March.

Her most popular vlog to date is a cooking video where she and Julia demonstrated how they make fresh tomato pasta.
