In a 2019 interview with PUSH, the actor said it’s important that celebrities like him engage in relevant issues because they are given a certain influence and power to make a change. He added that celebrities must try and use that power for the benefit of the majority.

Nadine Lustre proves she isn’t just a pretty face. The 26-year-old actress is also a mental health advocate, and she uses her platform to raise awareness on the issue and break the stigma. She likewise shares encouraging words to those who are struggling with their mental health.
In 2017, Nadine admitted that she also struggled with depression. The actress revealed it started when she was just 13. She was diagnosed again while working on her serye On The Wings of Love and then later after her younger brother’s death.
3. Iza Calzado
An empowered woman herself, Iza Calzado aims to inspire, empower, and educate women. Not only is she using her platform to promote self-love and body positivity, but she’s also one of the founders of a women’s organization, She Talks Asia.
Iza has also been vocal about how she struggled with her body size during her younger years. She has likewise opened up about her journey to reaching the self-confidence and self-acceptance that she now has.
4. Catriona Gray
Despite getting mixed reactions from fans and netizens, Catriona Gray isn’t afraid to show her support for the LGBTQ+ community. The beauty queen has not been shy talking about growing up as a Christian as well as being an LGBTQ+ ally.
On Instagram, she once wrote: “My belief as a Christian does not limit me from fighting for the rights of others.”
She has also expressed support for the Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity and Expression (SOGIE) Equality Bill, otherwise known as the Anti-Discrimination Bill—which seeks to protect all people from gender-based violence and discrimination.
5. Carla Abellana
Carla Abellana proves that animals’ lives are as worthy as human’s lives. As an animal welfare advocate, Carla speaks up for the rights of animals that are “abused, tortured, starved, ran over, shot, impounded, abused, sold for dog meat trade, and killed.”
The actress has also encouraged pet lovers to adopt a shelter animal instead of buying. Carla herself is a proud fur mom of rescued dogs.
