Iya Villania marked the second week since she gave birth to her third child Alana by releasing a special vlog over the weekend.

In the latest video on her and husband Drew Arellano’s YouTube channel, “Life With the Arellanos,” the television host shared how she prepared for the coming of her baby daughter.

After a few hours of labor, Iya gave birth at around 7:08AM last July 18.

According to the former Kapamilya star, she didn’t expect that she would give birth to a baby girl.

“Thank God that we were able to do our normal delivery. And uh, what a joke! I was so sure that it was going to be a boy,” she said.

“Siyempre, everyone’s like, ‘Ang bilis! You make it look so easy!’ ‘Coz of my energy after, pero... I guess ‘yung parang, you know that feeling after workout where you’re just like high and you got all the energy. That’s how I feel after delivery. But seriously that delivery? It’s so tough and it’s the most uncomfortable feeling. And every time I do it, it’s like, ‘I don’t ever want to feel this again.’ But what do you know? Umabot pang tatlo. So sana ‘yan na talaga ‘yung huli,” she added.

Iya and Drew, who have been married since 2014, have two other children—Primo and Leon.

According to Iya, she wanted to share the video for other expectant mothers who feel anxious about giving birth in the time the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I know mamas giving birth during this time must be scared but hope this will ease you up a bit. Times may be scary but have faith and remember the beauty of what you’re about to go thru,” she said.

As of this writing, Iya’s vlog has garnered over 200,000 views, 16,000 likes, and over a thousand comments.
