Headlining their first musical show together since the start of the pandemic, Matteo Guidicelli and Sarah Geronimo performed in a one-hour event last August 30, Sunday for a major membership shopping brand. The couple, who got married last February, immediately opened the show with a song while seated together, with veteran Filipino composer and arranger Louie Ocampo who first performed with them during their U.S tour in 2013.

Matteo shared that the event was meant to help bring people together and spread positivity. “This is an incredible evening. That’s the whole point of the show. We want to spread the love, give love, and be loved. I think we need more of this eh. We need to just block all the negativity and just be positive for the whole world. It’s not just about us but it’s about the whole country as one,” he said. After sharing that he thinks his wife Sarah is the expert when it comes to humility, he thanked her for the life lessons. “You’ve taught me so much about being selfless and just seeing the positive side of everybody. Ikaw ang champion diyan eh,” he added in the Facebook live event held at the Landers branch in Alabang last August 30.

Sarah, who referred to Matteo as “My best friend, my husband,” also shared her thoughts with the current national crisis. “Sa panahon ngayon parang wala ng dahilan para magmalaki di ba? It’s very important that we remain humble and forgiving sa isa’t isa, helpful sa isa’t isa. That’s why,” she shared.

After the event, Matteo shared another message of gratitude on his Instagram account, He wrote, “Thank you @louieocampo and my beautiful wife @justsarahgph for always being true and real. Sir Louie thank you for guiding us, supporting us and always being beside us.

“My love, thank you for being you. You inspire me and show me what love really means. Let’s continue to grow and see the world together! #100blessings #sarahmatt
