After the online premiere of her latest digital film Love Unlock: E-numan earlier this month, Julia Barretto said she was very thankful to be given a project while still doing home quarantine. “It means a lot actually because I never though na sa tagal tagal na natin lahat sa industriya eh makakagawa pa tayo ng isang maikling pelikula digitally via Zoom, via an app. I mean it’s something na hindi ko inakalang magagawa natin today but it was a challenge that we all embraced and really welcomed,” she explained.

In her reunion project with love team partner Joshua Garcia after doing Block Z last year, Julia admits it was an unexpected kind of project. “Siyempre unang una this was a different challenge so kakaiba siyang platform, everything was very unique. I just wanted to get out of my comfort zone and give it a try. Second was to be reunited. with direk Dado (Lumibao) whom I last worked with in for MMK na ginawa ko rin with Josh and that was such a memorable experience that episode. Of course I took this project because I was so excited to be reunited with Josh. The project that we did together was Block Z and that was a year ago actually. So na-excite ako na makatrabaho siya ulit. Ang saya ng experience because actually di ba sa Hollywood films nakakapanuod tayo ng mga movies na nagkakausap lang yung mga characters for 20 (minutes) hindi ko alam na makakagawa rin ako ng ganun so it was a fun experience actually. Mas na-admire ko pa yung production, yung process. It was a one-man team. We had to do everything on our own so talagang yung admiration ko sa lahat is sobra sobra,” she explained.

Julia said she is also thankful to be able to get the chance to work on their mini-movie called E-numan even while doing home quarantine. “Nakatulong siya to keep me sane sa totoo lang. Siyempre sanay tayo sa mundong ang bilis ng takbo, sanay tayo sa taping, sa shooting, halos araw-araw and then all of a sudden when the lockdown happened, parang it’s a very big adjustment kasi parang nag-slow down lahat. So to be able to act again, even in a different set-up, ang saya ko lang nun while shooting because. Iba siyempre pag nasa elemento tayo ng pag-aarte and I’m sure Josh can agree with that,” she said.
