Indie pop band Nobody's Home released the music video for their debut single "12:00 (Midnight") on Friday, August 21.
“It is a song that talks about destiny. It is also somewhat a personal song for all of us [bandmates], as we share the same feeling of being a burden to others," Eon Buendia, the son of OPM icon Ely Buendia, explained.
The song is reminiscent of an 80s sound but with a contemporary vibe.
The band draws inspiration from bands like The Smiths, The Police, and Inner Wave, among others.
“We come from different genres. And that makes our sound experimental, but the sense of nostalgia remains," guitarist Justin Punzalan remarked.
As to why they named their band "Nobody's Home," Eon explained, “The name is subject to a person’s own interpretation, but to us, it means a free space to experiment with sound."
Nobody's Home was signed by Sony Music Philippines last July.
