Former <a href='https://ent.abs-cbn.com/pbbotso'>Pinoy Big Brother</a> housemate Baninay Bautista and her boyfriend, vlogger Bont Oropel, have tested positive for the novel coronavirus.The couple announced the diagnosis in separate vlogs on Tuesday, August 18, where it was revealed that Bont’s mother and brother were also infected with COVID-19.These announcements came just days after Bont’s father died after being diagnosed with pneumonia with COVID-19 listed as a suspected cause in his death certificate.<iframe allow='accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture' allowfullscreen='' frameborder='0' height='695' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/KgQ4aSWL8fg' width='2024'></iframe>Bont said he experienced serious COVID-19 symptoms, including the temporary loss of smell and difficulty breathing. As of August 18, the Philippines has logged nearly 170,000 coronavirus cases. Of this number, 2,687 died while 112,861 recovered.
