Regine Velasquez revealed that growing up, she always looked up to Sharon Cuneta.

“Madami [akong iniidolo bata ako] pero yung talagang idol na idol ko, si Sharon Cuneta. Sharonian kasi talaga ako. At si Kuh Ledesma. Pero si Sharon yung talagang hanggang ngayon, nasa-star struck ako sa kanya. Ganun ko siya talaga kagusto, ka-iniidolo,” she said in an interview on I Feel U on Sunday, August 16.

She remarked that aside from being a singer, she was also inspired by the Mega Star as an actress. The Asia's Songbird relayed that she always saved money back then to watch Sharon's films.

Coming soon on an episode of The Sharon Show on YouTube. (I don’t know the order in which they are going to be shown, so please be patient!😊) First time ako mamakeup-an ni Peachy since March! It’s our 26th year together. She started with doing my hair for TSCS and for TV guestings in ‘94 while Tita Fanny Serrano (TF) did my make-up [hindi na kaya ni TF ang bilis ng pace ng concerts at show costume changes at lalo ang puyatan sa shooting ngayon!]. Our first movie together where she was Tita Fanny’s hair AND make-up assistant na was ‘Madrasta.’ Wala halos kaming tulog noon. Now she is my main make-up artist na. Aside from Juan Sarte @juansarte sometimes for different looks in special events and some commercials and concerts. But 96% of the time it’s Peachy who does everything. Some 75% of the time @jeffaromin or ‘B’ (as in Beyoncé) does my hair. (I’m not basing these on just one pie of 100% ha obviously!). Peachy now is one of my most trusted companions and team-members. We are a really small team. More like a family. I’m nice to everyone but it takes me a while to trust. Peach and I love and take care of each other. I can never question her loyalty. I love her and I know she is one of the few who will be there for me until my last days, as I will be for her.❤️❤️❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 @mariano.peachy

Coming soon on an episode of The Sharon Show on YouTube. (I don’t know the order in which they are going to be shown, so please be patient!😊) First time ako mamakeup-an ni Peachy since March! It’s our 26th year together. She started with doing my hair for TSCS and for TV guestings in ‘94 while Tita Fanny Serrano (TF) did my make-up [hindi na kaya ni TF ang bilis ng pace ng concerts at show costume changes at lalo ang puyatan sa shooting ngayon!]. Our first movie together where she was Tita Fanny’s hair AND make-up assistant na was ‘Madrasta.’ Wala halos kaming tulog noon. Now she is my main make-up artist na. Aside from Juan Sarte @juansarte sometimes for different looks in special events and some commercials and concerts. But 96% of the time it’s Peachy who does everything. Some 75% of the time @jeffaromin or ‘B’ (as in Beyoncé) does my hair. (I’m not basing these on just one pie of 100% ha obviously!). Peachy now is one of my most trusted companions and team-members. We are a really small team. More like a family. I’m nice to everyone but it takes me a while to trust. Peach and I love and take care of each other. I can never question her loyalty. I love her and I know she is one of the few who will be there for me until my last days, as I will be for her.❤️❤️❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 @mariano.peachy

It’s our 26th year together. She started with doing my hair for TSCS and for TV guestings in ‘94 while Tita Fanny Serrano (TF) did my make-up [hindi na kaya ni TF ang bilis ng pace ng concerts at show costume changes at lalo ang puyatan sa shooting ngayon!]. Our first movie together where she was Tita Fanny’s hair AND make-up assistant na was ‘Madrasta.’ Wala halos kaming tulog noon. Now she is my main make-up artist na. Aside from Juan Sarte @juansarte sometimes for different looks in special events and some commercials and concerts. But 96% of the time it’s Peachy who does everything. Some 75% of the time @jeffaromin or ‘B’ (as in Beyoncé) does my hair. (I’m not basing these on just one pie of 100% ha obviously!). Peachy now is one of my most trusted companions and team-members. We are a really small team. More like a family. I’m nice to everyone but it takes me a while to trust. Peach and I love and take care of each other. I can never question her loyalty. I love her and I know she is one of the few who will be there for me until my last days, as I will be for her.❤️❤️❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 @mariano.peachy

Coming soon on an episode of The Sharon Show on YouTube. (I don’t know the order in which they are going to be shown, so please be patient!😊) First time ako mamakeup-an ni Peachy since March! It’s our 26th year together. She started with doing my hair for TSCS and for TV guestings in ‘94 while Tita Fanny Serrano (TF) did my make-up [hindi na kaya ni TF ang bilis ng pace ng concerts at show costume changes at lalo ang puyatan sa shooting ngayon!]. Our first movie together where she was Tita Fanny’s hair AND make-up assistant na was ‘Madrasta.’ Wala halos kaming tulog noon. Now she is my main make-up artist na. Aside from Juan Sarte @juansarte sometimes for different looks in special events and some commercials and concerts. But 96% of the time it’s Peachy who does everything. Some 75% of the time @jeffaromin or ‘B’ (as in Beyoncé) does my hair. (I’m not basing these on just one pie of 100% ha obviously!). Peachy now is one of my most trusted companions and team-members. We are a really small team. More like a family. I’m nice to everyone but it takes me a while to trust. Peach and I love and take care of each other. I can never question her loyalty. I love her and I know she is one of the few who will be there for me until my last days, as I will be for her.❤️❤️❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 @mariano.peachy
