Ogie Diaz recruited Ria Atayde to prank his good friend and the latter’s mom, veteran actress Sylvia Sanchez.
For his latest vlog, the entertainment reporter visited Sylvia Sanchez at her home to teach him how to make ginataang sigarilyas or winged beans cooked with coconut milk.
According to Sylvia, she rarely lets people inside her home but she made an exception for Ogie who happens to be one of her closest friends in showbiz.
But unknown to Sylvia, Ogie sent a message to her daughter Ria to ask her to come down from her room and prank her mom.
Tasting her mom’s cooking, Ria commented: “Parang medyo different siya today? Medyo different. I think it’s not as good. Ikaw Mama Ogs?”
Ogie, for his part, responded by saying: “Hindi naluto ng masyado.
Sylvia then tried to defend herself and said: “May mga magic.
But both Ogie and Ria chose to ignore Sylvia and went on to comment about Sylvia’s cooking which at that time, he already had a handful.
Turning to Sylvia, he said: “Tingnan mo ‘yung anak mo hindi marunong magsinungaling.”
Respondig to Ogie, Sylvia said: “Ayaw niya na ‘yun.
“Mas masarap kasi ‘yung dati,” she stated.
Still clueless about the prank, Sylvia asked: “Anong kaibahan nung dati?” To which her daughter answered: “Mas masarap.”
Sylvia once again explained why her cooking tasted different and said: “Kasi nga marami nga siyang nilalagay dati na pinatanggal natin.
Ria eventually told her mom everything and said: “It’s a prank!”
