My eldest, this baby girl, should never have been made to feel alone...She didn’t choose to be born into a family that started out with so much love only to be broken apart into a million pieces, like her mother’s heart...If I could...I would turn back the clock, and though I know the break-up still would have happened, I would try to shield her innocence from time...But the part of life I gave her isn’t mine...Yet I would...If only I could...Once, we were a family. And in a sense, whether we - or they - like it or not, we three still always will be, my Maria Kristina Cassandra Cuneta Concepcion. Papa and Mama will love you forever. You will always be our first child, the first who made us parents. If you’d had a brother, did you know your Papi would’ve named him Gavin? And your Mama of course, would’ve insisted on another name or two for him. Just like you.💖 I forget how many of you we planned to have. \"If I could, I would turn back the clock, and though I know the break-up still would have happened, I would try to shield her innocence from time... But the part of life I gave her isn’t mine... Yet I would... If only I could,\" she added.

Considered as one of the most sought after \"love teams\" in the '80s, Sharon and Gabby's onscreen romance bled into real life. They tied the knot in 1984, and welcomed KC, their only child, a year later.

However, the couple eventually separated. Their marriage was annulled, and they have both since re-married. Gabby is currently with Genevieve Gonzales, his third wife, while Sharon is married to Sen. Francis \"Kiko\" Pangilinan.

In her letter, Sharon told her daughter that while she and Gabby are no longer together, \"we three will always be [a family].\"

\"Once, we were a family. And in a sense, whether we - or they - like it or not, we three still always will be, my Maria Kristina Cassandra Cuneta Concepcion. Papa and Mama will love you forever. You will always be our first child, the first who made us parents,\" she said.

\"If you’d had a brother, did you know your Papi would’ve named him Gavin?\" she continued. \"And your Mama of course, would’ve insisted on another name or two for him. Just like you. I forget how many of you we planned to have. But I wouldn’t have minded having 5 more like you.\"

Ending her message, Sharon reminded her daughter that she is not alone.

Sharon’s open letter came after an emotional KC opened up about her life as a child of separated parents in an interview with broadcast journalist Luchi Cruz Valdez for the online show “Usapang Real Life.”

“Mama ko kasi, she has her own family. My Papa also has his own family. They’re both married. They both have their children with their husbands and their wives,” she said.

“Ako lang kasi ‘yung nagi-isang anak nila na silang dalawa,” she went on. “So mayroon akong complex na gusto ko silang gawing proud sa akin. Gusto ko, may mga gawin ako na ikaka-proud nila.”

“Gusto ko lang na maging proud sila sa akin,” she added, while trying to hold back tears.

“Mama ko kasi, she has her own family. My Papa also has his own family. They’re both married. They both have their children with their husbands and their wives,” she said.

“Gusto ko lang na maging proud sila sa akin,” she added, while trying to hold back tears.

Sharon Cuneta wrote an open letter to KC Concepcion to tell her eldest daughter how much she loves her and to remind her that \"you are not alone.\"
