Robin Padilla greets wife Mariel Rodriguez on her birthday: ‘26 pa rin ang tingin ko sa iyo’

<p>To usher in Mariel Rodriguez’s 35th birthday, Robin Padilla made sure to be the first to post a greeting for his wife of nearly a decade (they got married in August 19, 2010) on his Instagram account. He wrote, <em>“Maligayang araw ng kapanganakan sa iyo my babe. Isang taon na naman ang nakalipas at Ang lahat ay nagsasabi na isang dekada ka na sa akin pero ako lang ang hindi nakapansin ng haba ng ating pagsasama sa iyong itsura sapagkat magmula nong una natin na pagkikita hanggang sa oras na ito ay 26 pa rin ang tingin ko sa iyo. Walang nagbago kundi lalo pang gumanda dahil kumikinang ka sa iyong pagiging mabuting asawa at ina.”</em></p><p>The couple first met during Robin’s stint as a host of the noontime variety show <em>Wowowee</em> after main host Willie Revillame, took an “indefinite break” from the show in 2010. Mariel first admitted they went out on their first date to watch the movie <em>’Knight and Day' </em>starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz in a mall in Makati that same year. After a whirlwind romance, the couple decided to get married at the Taj Mahal in Agra, India. Despite their 14-year age gap, the couple continue to enjoy their strong marriage and have two children together, three-year-old Maria Isabella and Maria Gabriela whom she gave birth to last year.
