Kim Atienza asks for prayers for doctor who tested positive for COVID-19

<p>Kim Atienza took to social media to ask his followers and supporters to pray for his doctor who has tested positive for the novel coronavirus. </p><p>In an Instagram post on Wednesday, July 29, the television host and weather anchor said it was Dr. Jonas del Rosario of the Philippine General Hospital who operated on him when he had a stroke caused by a Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO) or a congenital hole in his heart back in 2010.</p><p>“The doctor who sealed that hole was @dokjonas. We claim it!”</p><p>As of Monday, July 27, the number of health workers who tested positive for COVID-19 reached the 4,591 mark, according to the Department of Health (DOH) data drop analyzed by the ABS-CBN Investigative and Research Group.</p><p>Among this figure, 3,490 recovered, while 36 died. Included in the fatalities are 26 physicians, 4 nurses, and 6 other health workers.</p><p>The group accounts for 6 percent of the total confirmed cases in the country, which has breached the 85,000-mark as of Wednesday afternoon, July 29. Of those, 26,996 recovered, while 1,962 died.</p>
