Less than a week after Canada-based Filipina Mara Soriano posted about her stolen teddy bear that contained a voice recording of her late mom, the stuffed toy was finally returned to her with the voice recording still intact. Mara’s search to retrieve it started last July 24, Friday when it was stolen while she was moving house in Vancouver, Canada. Her post on Twitter went viral when Canadian celebrities like Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds offered a $5,000 reward for the teddy bear. In his Twitter account a day after the incident, Ryan said in a tweet last Sunday, “Vancouver: $5,000 to anyone who returns this bear to Mara. Zero questions asked. I think we all need this bear to come home.”

Last July 28, Mara shared a footage of the thief caught on CCTV which shows her backpack being stolen while she and her fiancé were busy with moving preparations.
She wrote,
“UPDATE: ACTUAL FOOTAGE OF THE THEFT! When I dropped the bag, my fiancé was still in the alley, not inside, so it would have been right beside the uHaul cabin. This happened just after he pulled into the loading bay. pic.twitter.com/6eoGzVVr2t”
