The talented voices behind the Tagalized version of the hit South Korean drama “The World of A Married Couple” has been revealed — and one of them is a familiar face to Filipino audience.
It seems time indeed flies so fast as Alfred Labatos — one of the original cast members of the long-running kiddie gag show “Goin’ Bulilit" — has been revealed as one of the voice actors of “The World of A Married Couple.”
The scriptwriter for the Filipino-dubbed version of the top-rating JTBC drama, Roni Abario, shared photos of Alfred and the rest of the cast on the last day of dubbing session for the show’s two final episodes.
“This is definitely one of my most fave projects of all time. First project na kinarir ko ang pagsulat ng dubbing scripts ng lahat na 16 episodes. At first din na kinakarir ko ang panonood gabi-gabi sa Kapamilya Channel. I am so grateful and thankful for this project,” Abario said.
He added: “Daming pagbabagong naganap sa proseso ng pag-dub dahil nga sa COVID-19 pandemic. At ilan lang ang mga ito sa dahilan kung bakit TWOAMC will also be on the list of my most memorable projects.”
Apart from“Goin’ Bulilit," Alfred has appeared in numerous ABS-CBN shows in the past including several episodes of "Maalaala Mo Kaya" and "Wansapanataym." He also became part of “May Bukas Pa” and the teen sitcom “Luv U.”
Alfred also went to serve as a voice actor for numerous Filipino-dubbed anime shows, which aired on the now-defunct ABS-CBN channel Hero TV.
The hit JTBC-produced show follows the story of a couple named Sandra (Kim Hae-ae) and Tony (Park Hae-joon) who at first seem to have a perfect relationship. Things soon spiral out of control after dark secrets about the husband’s unfaithfulness are revealed.
“The World of A Married Couple” airs weeknights on Kapamilya Channel.
Kapamilya Channel is available on SKY, Cablelink, G Sat, and other cable operators of the Philippine Cable Television Association (PCTA) across the country.
