Kris Bernal temporarily closed her Korean restaurant amid the growing threat of the COVID-19 pandemic. According to the actress-entrepreneur, the health of her staff is her top priority.

"2020 is not a year to make profit. Just make sure to stay alive. Thank you so much for the overwhelming support for @houseofgogiph, especially during the past few months. While our goal is to serve you the best Korean dishes, our staff’s safety is our top priority right now," she announced on her Instagram page.

2020 is not a year to make profit. Just make sure to stay alive. ☑️ Thank you so much for the overwhelming support for @houseofgogiph, especially during the past few months. While our goal is to serve you the best Korean dishes, our staff’s safety is our top priority right now. The increasing number of positive cases is alarming, and we should do our best to prevent the spread of the virus. Hence, we’ll be temporarily closing #HouseofGogiBanawe until further notice. ❤️ To my fianće, @choi.perry, thank you for helping me through all these tough times in life. 😭🙏🏼 I love you so much. Our hearts and our prayers go out to those businesses that are struggling right now. 🙏🏼

Finding ways to adapt and thrive, even with all these challenges thrown at me. 🙏🏼 Reopening @houseofgogiph with a takeout and delivery only business model. That alone was a big shift for me. I have 18 staff all in all at House of Gogi and they’re taking rounds with work shifts. It just brings that extra warmth to my heart, that I’m doing something good for them. Supporting them the best I can until everyone can get back on their feet again. There's a very real, very human story behind every entrepreneur, big or small, at a time like this. It’s a hard situation because you’re being brave, but inside you’re also fearful. 😕 In times like these, God shows me that while life is uncertain, my trust is in Him. 👒: @giftshoppemnl

Kris confessed that the current situation has been really hard for her.

"There's a very real, very human story behind every entrepreneur, big or small, at a time like this. It’s a hard situation because you’re being brave, but inside you’re also fearful. In times like these, God shows me that while life is uncertain, my trust is in Him," she posted.
