As Liza Soberano embarks on a new journey as a vlogger, the Kapamilya celebrity took to social media to thank everyone who supported her on the launch of her official YouTube channel dubbed “Life with Liza.”

“I just want to say thank you to everyone who watched, liked, and subscribed to my channel. It means the world to me. I love you all so much! P.S. I know my vlog isn't the most important thing going on right now,” she wrote.

The 22-year-old Kapamilya star, although grateful for the support she had received from her fans, admitted to being aware of the fact that there are many more important things to pay attention to compared to her vlog.

Liza, in a series of tweets, grieved with the thousands of ABS-CBN employees who got laid off from the company following the House panel's decision to deny the media giant of a new franchise.

“So please don’t forget to give your attention to issues that do matter.  I’ve been seeing a lot of my kapamilya’s express great grief over the loss of our company (ABS-CBN) and sadly their jobs. Many of the employees are already struggling amidst this pandemic and losing their jobs puts an even bigger burden upon them,” she stated.

Liza likewise encouraged her followers to continue speaking up in order to let their voices be heard and make sure the people responsible for the ordeal ABS-CBN employees are facing right now be held accountable.

“Let’s continue to express how this makes all of us feel in hopes that our voices will be heard and the people responsible for this will gain empathy and understanding,” she stated.

The actress also took on a powerful jab against the critics of ABS-CBN — especially those telling the network’s 11,000-strong employees to find other jobs in the middle of a pandemic.

“Speaking of which, to those who said “find another job”. If it were that easy there wouldn’t be an outburst of emotions. So many people in the Philippines have lost their jobs in the past few months. Our unemployment rate in the Philippines is at a record high,” she stated.

Liza is only one among the many celebrities who have stood up to voice out their support to the Kapamilya network.

Having risen to prominence after starring in the 2014 teleserye “Forevermore” alongside onscreen and real-life partner Enrique Gil, Liza has since appeared in numerous teleseryes that made her one of the most bankable actresses in the country.
