After revealing on social media last Thursday, July 16 that she and her husband Blake Go had both tested positive for the coronavirus, Divine Lee penned a letter to her two children, two-year-old Baz and seven-month-old daughter Blanka Dietrich whom they recently had blessed by a priest via Zoom call last April. The celebrity mom and socialite had just finished their 14 days of isolation, with Divine being asymptomatic and self-isolating at home and her husband spending quarantine in a hospital.

The couple, who are now both in good condition, said that they had not been going out or interacting with other people from her home in Cebu since March. Divine shared in a series of videos on her Instagram stories, that she most likely got the virus from “handling everyday things from money, groceries, and all." Divine said she felt no symptoms but shared her experience with her followers in the hope that she can help guide others who are going through the same thing through a vlog she will post soon.

Last July 17, she posted a two-part post with a photo of her kids on Instagram with the caption, “Dearest Baz and Blanca,

Realization time for mommy.
You guys are tougher than I think. And with things I can’t control, God is with you. I’ve seen this happen. Faith is a strong thing. Never lose that.

Find a doctor you love, loves you and you trust your life with. Having one with so much compassion makes a whole lot of difference. You two gave me the best doctors. From Novero, Doc Clive and your pedias - Doc Aye Nuguid and Doc Serafica. And most especially, I met this wonderful soul named Doc Tinette because of you guys. She pulled you guys out of me. Hahaha! Her words comforted me when I was at my weakest and afraid. I hope you find your own doctors like the ones you gave me.

Sickness can be a mind game. And in any game, play to win.

Gratefulness. If you heard my prayers everyday. Lord wag positive. Tapos ‘Naku positive si Blake.’ Lord wag ako positive- Naku positive din. But see even if we don’t understand. Go back to faith. Be thankful pa rin. I just kept saying I can breathe, I am alive and I’m thankful. I kept praying and believing. The Lord only gave us mild symptoms. I’m asymptomatic while your dad kayang kaya. And Lord protected the most important people in my life - Kayo! Siguro sinabi nya ‘Kaya nyo yan, Divine. Let me take care of the kids.’ So go back to faith.

Information. Your experience can save people. Speak your voice. Use it for the good. People will try to discriminate or sometimes offer the easy route. Always pick the one that will benefit more people.

I lost 14 days with you guys. It may seem like nothing to you pag laki nyo mag babakasyon kayo without me etc. But really that was the hardest, the doctors know this. I would watch the CCTV all day. Put my head by the door to hear you giggle with our yayas. My countdown was actually not based on just getting better but Kelan ko kayo makakasama ulit. Spend your time wisely (or with me! LOL).

Stay positive! Lol. Pero parang mali sa situation na to. Hahaha but face it head on. Iyak mo if needed. Then sige next- Ano gagawin to solve the problem.

I had to maneuver and operate everything while in isolation. Business, the emotions of people, medical, DOH advisories, barangay advisories, checking everyone’s health in the household, pati yung next ulam, etc. You need a strong heart and strong mind. And to do this- you need to be inspired and motivated. Kayo yung motivation ko.

Sometimes things are hard to understand. But may reason yan. And it will reveal itself.

Pag kagulo na kayo. Don’t gargle. Hahah nainom ko yung betadine kasi my mind was so kagulo. I forgot to spit out.

Emphathy. When someone is going through something. I hope you guys grow to be very emphatic people. I will always remember those who were sincere in their texts and hindi yung nakikichismis lang. Haha! Also know your data privacy act and basic human rights. So alam mo if someone is breaching it and you can call their attention and do appropriate actions if needed.

Your family and real friends will always be your fort. They will be the first to protect you and guide you. Remember that you can call them anytime for anything. Consult them for decisions.

Drink your vitamins. It’s my first time to encounter a pandemic. A good immune system is your armor. Sabay nyo narin anti aging since andito narin tayo. Bibigay ko yung magic list ko ng vitamins

Water! Drink water!

Sabi nga ‘Find the silver lining.”’While in quarantine inisip ko - Well mag peel narin ako ng mukha para maganda. Keep busy. The mind is a complicated thing. Marami ka maiisip. Minsan scary. Minsan malungkot. Keep your mind busy to keep those bad vibes away. And you’ll always feel better if you feel like you’ve done something good for yourself.

Pray. Pray. Pray. Malaking bagay yung naniniwala kang may kakampi ka na hindi nila kaya talunin kahit ano pa ang kalaban mo. Yan ang resbak.

Always better to be sure. Never be complacent. Oa na kung oa. Go one more step or all the steps to ensure safety. If we didn’t do the swab test. We probably would have gotten better without knowing we got sick.

Get some sun! Vitamin D will help you build immunity.

Your hugs were what I looked forward to the most!

Much love,
Mama D”
