With a career spanning more than four decades in showbiz, Sharon Cuneta has already met and worked with a number of local and foreign artists in both acting and singing. Last July 16, Sharon posted a throwback photo of her and American singer Angela Bofill, who was best known for her songs, “This Time I’ll Be Sweeter,” “Break it To Me Gently,” and “You Should Know By Now” which were all classic hits of the ‘80s. Sharon shared her experience meeting and working with Angela who stopped performing in 2006 after suffering a stroke in the US.

The Megastar started her singing career when she was just 12 years old after releasing the song “Mr. DJ” which paved the way for her to record more movie soundtracks and more than 40 albums since her debut in  1978. Aside from Angela, Sharon has also collaborated with other foreign singers in the past like the duet "In Your Eyes" with Hong Kong singer Andy Lao which was composed by American songwriter and singer Jim Brickman in 2001.

On her Instagram account last July 16, Sharon wrote, “Me with one of the sweetest, nicest superstar singers I’ve ever met and worked with. Also, obviously one of the most talented (she used to TEACH singing!)! Miss Angela Bofill. Never forgot about me. We recorded her hit, ‘This Time I’ll Be Sweeter’ in the studio on the same day but took turns. When it was mine, she was supportive but respectful towards me even when I was a starry-eyed teenager who, like most everyone else then, idolized her! Our duet was a hit. And she even made a cameo appearance in our movie, Friends In Love where we sang the song together. Years later, she guested on my show and nothing had changed. She was still the sweetest! Thank you, dear Angela! I learned so much from you. I will always be grateful to you and will always love you and be your FAN! ️ 🥰  ”
